The Ohio pride flag is derived from the state flag by replacing the red and white stripes by the six-striped rainbow pattern. The rainbow stripes' width is decreasing from hoist to fly, so that they occupy one-sixth of the flag width at both edges. While the red stripe and the disc are in the same shade of color (somewhat darker than typically used in the Rainbow Flag, but lighter than in the state flag), the blue stripe is visibly lighter than the triangle. The earliest currently known appearance of the flag was at the Columbus Pride 2018 [1] and it was used again at the Columbus Pride 2019 [2, 3, 4, 5]. While the flag could be used with "no right side up" due to the symmetrical pattern of the charges upon the triangle, it seems to have been used only with red at the top so far, which is not only the color of the topmost stripe of the state flag, but also seems to be the preferred way of hoisting the Rainbow Flag in the USA, considering the numerous online sources which reveal that. The flag seems not to have been used outside Columbus so far, for there are currently no sources to reveal the use, so cancelling of the Columbus Pride 2020 due to the COVID-19 pandemic will certainly slow down further spreading of its use.
