Description of the flag

The report of the Town Council for 2001 notes "in November, the new town of Barnstable flag was presented to officials in the Great Hall at the Massachusetts State House." It is a blue with a silhouette of a lighthouse on a point and the town seal in the upper fly.

The flag on the right appears to be the municipal seal on a blue field, suggesting that the flag we show at the top of this page is not the only flag in use for Barnstable.
