The seal shows the city name at the top left side with the motto "GEARED FOR QUALITY GROWTH" at the bottom. Between the two is are two connected gears with local structures inside of the rings. In the first gear is the Morrow Tourist Center, and the James M. Baker University Center located in Clayton State University. In the second gear is the include a house, a church, and the entrance for the Southlake Mall.
