See
https://www.american-rails.com/chase.html for an historical account of the
Great Locomotive Chase alluded to on the flag.
See
https://railfanning.org/andrewsraid/ for a comprehensive account of the
event.
According to both sources (and many other), the chasing locomotive
used in Adairsville was named "Texas" and not "Texan" as written on the flag.
The mistake should be credited to the flag's manufacturer since the original
seal is, correctly, inscribed "TEXAS". Masao's image is therefore correctly
reproducing the flag with the mistaken writing.
