Forsyth County government unveils new

Forsyth County has rolled out a new logo and motto to help highlight the
county’s resources and high quality of life. The logo features a family of three
and its dog along the Big Creek Greenway and beside Lake Lanier looking at a
tree in front of Sawnee Mountain. Included are the county’s name and 1832, the
year it was incorporated. The county’s new tagline is “Your Community. Your
Future.” Thoroughbred Design Group of Alpharetta created the new logo, the first
since 1986. It drew on community input from an online survey last year.
According to Forsyth officials, survey participants described the county as
“family-friendly,” felt quality of life was its most important aspect and said
the lake was the most valuable physical trait. A group of county employees and
volunteers also reviewed the project. Rollout of the logo will be incorporated
over time, starting with the county’s website and social media profiles. In
time, it will be used on letterheads and businesses cards as supplies with the
old logo are depleted. In a statement, County Commission Chairman Pete Amos
praised the changes. “Forsyth County is a great place to call home and I think
the new logo and tag line really capture and represent that,” he said.
