There are two groups that own the majority of the major paved race tracks
in the United States used by NASCAR. One of those two groups is
International Speedway Corporation (which owns 13 of the tracks used by
NASCAR's top three series, and is in turn owned by the same France family
that owns and operates NASCAR); the other group is Speedway Motorsports,
Inc. SMI owns eight of NASCAR's premiere tracks, including Atlanta Motor
Speedway, Bristol Motor Speedway, Charlotte Motor Speedway, and Texas Motor
Speedway, as well as owning the Performance Racing Network, which provides
exclusive radio broadcasts of events at SMI tracks.

The SMI corporate flag features the company's logo centered on a white field.
The logo itself is in the shape of an oval, red on top and blue on the
bottom, with thin white lines that look like a grid overlaying the oval. On a
broad white stripe across the center of the logo is a black stylized stock car.

The flag of Texas Motor Speedway, home of this weekend's NASCAR events,
exemplifies the basic design of all SMI-owned track flags. The speedway's logo
is centered on a white field. The logo itself consists of the SMI red and blue
oval logo toward the hoist, and the name of the track toward the fly in black
capital block letters: "TEXAS" over "MOTOR SPEEDWAY." Texas Motor Speedway is
located in the northern suburbs of the city of Fort Worth, Texas.

The flag of Bristol Motor Speedway follows the general pattern of SMI-owned
track flags. The speedway's logo is centered on a white field. The logo itself
consists of the SMI red and blue oval logo toward the hoist, and the name of the
track toward the fly in black capital block letters: "BRISTOL" over "MOTOR
SPEEDWAY." Bristol Motor Speedway is located on the outskirts of the city of
Bristol, Tennessee, along the Virginia-Tennessee border.
