Ford Motor Company, commonly known as Ford, was founded in 1903 by Henry
Ford, making it the oldest automaker in the United States. Headquartered in
Dearborn, Michigan, Ford is the second-largest American automaker and the
fifth-largest worldwide, based on 2010 sales figures. Ford currently sells under
two brand names - Ford and Lincoln - but also has ownership stakes in Mazda,
Aston Martin, and Jiangling. Ford also previously marketed under the Mercury
brand (1938-2011), and formerly owned Jaguar (1989-2008), Land Rover
(2000-2008), and Volvo (1999-2010).
There is practically an infinite
number of variations of the Ford flag for any imaginable scenario or event.
Running a simple online search using the term "Ford flag" will reveal these. In
this instance, however, I am choosing to ignore all of those variants and focus
on the officially used corporate flags of Ford Motor Company. There are two
official corporate flags, both featuring the Ford corporate logo centered on a
plain field - one white and one blue. The logo shows a blue
oval with the word "Ford" written in white cursive script, representing Henry
Ford's signature.

Regarding the logo,
"Childe Harold Wills designed the logo. He used his grandfather's stencil set,
which was based on the style of writing taught in school when Ford and Wills
were children. However, the Ford oval would not be featured on a car until Model
A in 1927" (source:

The current logo version
was made in 2003 during the company's centennial anniversary.
