Country Inns & Suites is a hotel chain owned by Carlson Rezidor Hotel Group.
The hotels are independently owned and operated under franchise agreements with
Carlson Rezidor. The company has more than 480 hotels worldwide after opening
their first hotel in Burnsville, Minnesota, in 1968.
The flag of Country
Inns & Suites – as seen flying in front of the hotel in Fredericksburg,
Virginia, this afternoon – features the company's current logo (adopted in 2013)
displayed in white on a graphite (dark) grey field. The logo shows a small
flower above the word "Country" in large, white, curving letters. Below the word
"Country" are the words "INNS & SUITES" in smaller, white, capital letters,
followed by a thin white line, and then the words "BY CARLSON" in even smaller
white, capital letters, with a trademark (™) symbol.
