Shield Sable on a mound Argent issuant from base a cork oak Or fruited and peeled Argent and in chief a crown of thorns Or. Mural crown Argent with four visible towers (town rank) and white scroll reading in black upper case serifed letters "FREIXIEL - VILA FLOR".
Meaning:
Yet the coat of arms shows a cork oak instead of an ash: It must have been an option to rather illustrate local produce instead of going for canting arms.
