It is a typical Portuguese communal flag, with the coat of arms centred on a plain blue field.

Shield Argent, a wedge Gules flanked in base by two flax blossoms Azure seeded Or, in central chief a palm leaf Vert and a sword Gules crossed per saltire. Mural crown Argent with three visible towers (village rank) and white scroll with inscription in black initials: "CUNHA - PAREDES DE COURA".
