The arms are Argent a lunel Gules flanked by four bunches of grapes Or leafed Vert. Mural crown Argent with three visible towers (village rank) and white scroll reading in black upper case letters "UNHÃO".
Meaning:
"Unhão" means "big nail" (as in finger, or toe, nail), but that may not be the actual etymology. Either way, the lunel, regardless of the reason it was chosen for these arms (which I dont know) may be interpreted as nail clippings, which would make these canting arms, of sorts.
