About the flag

There is indirect evidence that the region of Piura has a flag. Following the death of former President of the Republic, Valentin Paniagua, Eduardo Mendoza, the President of the Regional Government, ordered the national and regional flags to be half-staffed, according to El Regional de Piura, 17 October 2006
