Blazon: I grønt en opprett gull klubbe. In English: Vert a gavel or.
Approved by the royal resolution of 20 January 1989.
The gavel represents a municipal mayor's gavle in general and in particular the "formannskapets far" (father of municipal authorities) John Neergaard (1795 - 1885) who was born in Rindal, who reformed the local authorities legilsation in Norway.
