The Municipality

Municipality of Bendery/Tighina is within the Transnistrian Moldovan Republic, and from 2002 has status of Municipality, according the Moldavian Laws. It has about 83000 inhabitants.

The Flag

According to the heraldic rules, the flag repeated the figures and colors of the city coat of arms.

The lion now has more recognizable features of the face of the Swedish king Charles XII, and he began to lie not on damp land, but on a stylized cartographic plan of the Bendery fortress.
