Viesite (town in Jekabpils district) adopted their flag in
November 18, 1999 (date of consecration). In
background of flag are colors of flag of Selija (Selonia -
traditional etnographic and historic province on left bank of
Daugava), in cenre Coat of Arm of the town is placed. It means
there is also flag of Selonia - I never heard about that. There
was latvian students corporation Selonia in Derpt university but
I can't remember their colors and how this is associated with
real Selonia.
