Flag

Located in Nagoya City Aichi Prefecture and established in 1949. The institute flag has navy blue background with a yellow emblem in the center and horizontally written in yellow English institute name. The emblem is a design of the Chinese character "工大" = institute of technology surrounded by a pair of male and female Golden SHACHIHOKO the mythical animal which has a head of a dragon and a body of a fish adorning the Nagoya Castle keep, the symbol of Nagoya.
