The Flag

Located in Nagoya City Aichi Prefecture and established in 1949. The embroidered ceremonial flag has dark red background with a gold emblem in gold fringe. The university flag has red background with a white emblem. (Source) The university emblem is a combination of Chinese characters "名" and "大學". It has been used on the school flag and in other places since 1949, when Meijo University was established as a new university from Nagoya Senmon Gakko .
