Located in Nakatsugawa City Gifu Prefecture and established in 1993. The embroidered ceremonial flag has dark red background with a gold emblem and vertically written in gold, kanji university name in gold fringe. The university flag has dark green background with a white emblem. (Source) The university emblem is a graphic representation of "大學" in the shape of lotus flower. Although the lotus root is not a glamorous flower, it is a strong and dedicated flower that grows roots and blooms even in a harsh environment, and its unique beauty is a symbol of the ideal figure for university. It is also the flower of Gifu Prefecture.
