The city emblem was adopted on Oct 1st 2005 but there is no flag law. The
white flag has a blue and a green two color city emblem in the center. The green
color stands for green Atsumi Peninsula, the blue color for a clear sky and a
beautiful sea and the center white circle for Mikawa Bay. As a whole, it
represents an image of new city in which a vigor, an advance and a plenitude
exist together.
