The city emblem was adopted on Apr 1st 2005 by Notice No 1 but there is no
flag law. The white flag has a red, green and blue three color city emblem in
the center. The city emblem is a stylized a of Aisai which represents an
abundant green of Nobi Plain, crisp air and blessed nature of Kiso River and
Nagara River. It also represents the citizen who links together and makes a
rapid progress. The red color stands for the Sun and a surge of the area.
