The city emblem was adopted on Jan 1st 2007 but there is no flag law. The
white flag has a green and a blue two color city emblem in the center. The city
emblem is a stylized hiragana も Mo of Motomiya. It represents an abundant nature
such as water, green trees and rivers and a flying bird and merged two town and
village and an image of the new city which makes a leap forward into the future.
