Overview

ECIPS was established by Royal Decree No WL22/16.594 by Head of State on the 2nd June 2015 approved under the Act of 27 June on the non-profit associations, international associations not-for-profit and the foundations, articles 46 and 50, 1, respectively modified by articles 282 and 284 of the program act of 2007 December 2004. The Act was signed on the April 3, 2015 In view of the conformity of the purpose with article 46 of the aforementioned law On the proposal of the minister of justice Article 1. Legal personality was granted to the international association << EUROPEAN CENTRE FOR INFORMATION POLICY & SECURITY >>, in English abbreviated <<ECIPS>> whose headquarters is established at Antwerp. Article 2 the Decree. The minister who has justice in assignments is responsible for the execution of the present decree Bruxelles, the 14 of June 2015

The EUROPEAN CENTRE FOR INFORMATION POLICY & SECURITY (ECIPS) International organization is recognized as INGO under the article 2 of the Convention 24 April 1968 European Convention on the Recognition of the Legal Personality of INGOs under section "Shall be recognized as of right in all other parties" as international utility organization.

The Flag

ECIPS' flag is presented here: "The ECIPS flag consist of the words " CONCILIUM NOVI MUNDI ". It denotes to the fact that the ECIPS councils on international matters that are of significant statute in the new world of today. The flag consist of a double headed eagle with six feathers on each wing that relay the worldly importance of the twelve lines in history and the equality of man in the face of the international law. The Eagle also denotes a 13th line that brings equilibrium in peace, justice and fundamental rights to the new world of today"
