Introduction

I recently had the misfortune of seeing the first episode of a rather drippy TV series called Meine Liebe. Set at an elite finishing school, the Rozenstolz Academy, in the fictional European nation of Kuchen sometime before WWI, it was pretty much a soap-opera for the preadolescent set: blandly handsome cast, no plot, a lot of brooding and melodramatic posing. The Academy flag, however , was sort of neat. It appeared in the title sequence.
