Shield parted per pale; at dexter Azure, a lion rampant, parted per fess of Or and Argent, armed and tongued Gules; at sinister bendy of four of Gules and Argent.
Meaning:
The dexter half displays the lion from the arms of the Pleißenland, a territory under direct imperial rule (German: reichsunmittelbar), established around 1150 by Emperor Friedrich I Barbarossa. The sinister half displays the arms of the Counts of Schönburg.

Shield bendy of four of Gules and Argent a lion rampant sable armed and tongued Gules.
Meaning:
The background tinctures are the arms of the Counts of Schönburg, the lion is taken from the arms of the Margraves of Meißen from the Wettin kin.
