Meaning:
Rockstedt belonged to the Archbishopric of Magdeburg since 973 but was swapped the same year to the Benedictine Fulda Monastery. Later it became a part of the Principality of Schwarzburg-Sondershausen. Until 1950 there had been lots of geese in the village, which were herded together in the surrounding of the village. The barrulets are a representation of the local Helbe River. The bridge is crossing the river in the village.
