Markersdorf Coat of Arms

Shield Or, a linden Sable with seven leaves Vert.
Meaning:
The municipality was established on January 1994 by a merger of Markersdorf proper, Deutsch-Paulsdorf, Friedersdorf, Gersdorf, Holtendorf, Jauernick-Buschbach and Pfaffendorf. The trunk is symbolising the new municipality, the leaves the former municipalities.
