Langenwolschendorf Municipality

It is a black-yellow-green vertical tricolour with coat of arms shifted to the top.

Shield enhanced parted per fess embattled demi-urdy (that is a line with its pinnacles/embattlements urdy); above Or charged with a wolf passant Sable, armed and tongued Gules; beneath Vert an eradicated linden Or.
Meaning:
The wolf iis a canting element. The old name of the village was Langenwolffersdorf<7b> (which can be translated as long-wolf-village). The line of partition is indicating that the village is a typical one-street village. The linden tree is symbolising local linden tree, hundreds of years old. The tree was originally planted in 1650. The tinctures of the wolf are those of the Princes of Reuß, who ruled the area for centuries. The green colour is symbolising the agricultural character of the village.
