The ratio is 3:5. It is a green over white horizontal bicolour. The coat of arms is in the centre of the flag.

Description of coat of arms:
On the base of a silver (=white) shield is a green mountain having three peaks. Two black rakes crossed per saltire are standing upon the peak.
Meaning:
The coat of arms is based upon the arms of the Lords of Wietzendorf originated near Lüneburg.
