The logo was unveiled on 26 January 2016 during the year's first council of
the MRC.
The logo symbolizes a landscape where the triangle's upper part
represents stability and force, while their lower part, curved downwards like
waves, represents the MRC human values. The triangles also recall the
territory's trees, mountains, valleys and bodies of water. The logo is
accentuated by the different green, blue and turquoise shapes.
The balance of
the shades, light in the upper part and dark in the lower part, conveys depth,
like when looking to the horizon; when a gradation of darkest to lightest shades
is perceived. This reflects the MRC's vast Nordic territory.
The typeface
belongs to the Agenda family, from top to bottom:

Agenda Medium Extra Condensed
Agenda Light Extra Condensed.
