This 2022 photo of the town council shows the town flag has no text on the sides. https://www.renfrew.ca/uploads/2022-2026-Town-Council-Members.jpeg
The flag is white with the shield with crest and motto. The shield features a 
Viking lymphad overlain by the Stuart badge on a dark blue field under a white 
bar with three thistles, presumably based on Renfrew, Scotland.

The town celebrated its sesquicentennial last year (2008) and adopted a flag 
on that
occasion.
