The municipality of Igrejinha (34,630 inhabitants in 2016; 13, 682 ha) is
located 80 km north-east of Porto Alegre.

The flag of Igrejinha is prescribed by Municipal Law No. 161 promulgated on 1
December 1970.
Article 1.
The flag of the municipality of Igrejinha is
composed of a white panel, charged in the center with the municipal coat of arms
in full colors, covering 20% of the flag's area.
Article 2.
The
dimensions of the flag of the municipality are the same as those of the national
flag.

The coat of arms of Igrejinho is prescribed
by Municipal Law No. 43 promulgated on 16 September 1966.
Article 1.
Portuguese shield divided per fess. In chief, on a blue field, a white and black
dove holding in the beak a green bough, representing peace. In base, on a field
or, representing the people's work and constancy, a honeycomb with three bees
proper. The shield supported dexter and sinister, highlighting the region's
agricultural resource, branches fructed proper. Beneath the shield a scroll
gules (red) charged with the letters "PAX ET - Igrejinha - 1 - 6 - 1964 - LABOR"
in white. The shield surmounted by a small church ["igrejinha"], the
town's namesake, also representing the people's religious feeling.
