The date on the scroll reads 1 March 1963, recalling the emancipation of 
Tapira from the municipality of Sacramento. Photos 
taken during the celebration of the 47th anniversary of the foundation of the 
municipality show the flag in indoors use, together with the flags of Brazil and 
Minas Gerais:
