During Brookhaven’s 60th Anniversary Party, that was held on Sunday, April 3, 2005, the newly approved Borough Seal was unveiled. It is proudly displayed behind the Council Members Dais in the Council Chamber.

Present at the Unveiling Ceremony are: Mary Jo Ruth, Officer Rick Fuller, Greg Gardner, Councilman Mike Hess, Council President Janice Sawicki, Mayor Ralph Garzia, Councilman John Wilwert, Reece Cobourn, George Cobourn, Msgr. Andrew Hanlon (OLC)

The Borough Seal commemorates the history of the mills on both Chester and Ridley Creeks, the history of farming, partucular dairy farming and raising of horses that took place here. The schoolhouse represents that there was a school on the SW corner of Edgemont Avenue and Brookhaven Road since 1798 to the mid and late 1990s on land that was donated by Caleb Coburn and James Barton.
