Description of the flag

The flag of the City of Melvindale, Michigan, is blue with city seal on it. The seal shows the city crest on a blue field, in the outer circle is inscribed "CITY OF MELVINDALE / FOUNDED 1924". The year 1924 is when Melvindale was incorporated as a village, and it was designated city in 1926. Photo of the flag thanks to Yvonne M. Kollmorgen, Executive Secretary to the Mayor and Council.
