Description of the flag

The flag of Aberdeen, Maryland, is on the far right of the link sent by Paul Bassinson. The flag features the city seal centered on a white field. The green circular seal, outlined with a gold ring, has a coat of arms at its center. On a red shield are several scenes of the local area, including a tank and a helicopter, representing the U.S. Army's Aberdeen Proving Grounds. The shield is topped by a bald eagle's head with the year of the city's founding 1892 on a gold banner beneath the shield. In the green of the seal are the words "TRANSPORTATION" and "TECHNOLOGY" in black capital letters. Arched above the seal is the word "ABERDEEN" with "MARYLAND" below the seal, both in black capital letters.
