The municipality of Çermik (50,309 inhabitants in 2012, 18,505 in the town of Çermik; 98,678 ha) is located 80 km north-west of Diyarbakir.

Flag of Çermik

The flag of Çermik is white with the municipality's emblem in the center. "Belediyesi" means "Municipality".

The emblem features the Saray Hammam. built in the center of the town in at an unknown date in the 16th-17th centuries, according to the architectural style.
The emblem also features the Haburman bridge, named for the village of Haburman. The three-arched bridge is 109 m in length, 5.5 m in width and 11.20 m in height. It was built in 1179 by princess Zübeyde, the daughter of Necmeddin Alpı, ruler (1154-1176) of the Mardin branch of the Artuqid dynasty.
