Flag of Communauté d'agglomération du Sud - Image by Olivier Touzeau, 12 December 2020
CA Sud (125,814 inhabitants in 2015; 56,470 ha) is composed of the municipalities of Entre-Deux, Saint-Joseph, Saint-Philippe, and Le Tampon. It succeeded in 2010 the Communauté de communes du Sud (CCSUD), which had been created in 1998 by Les Avirons, Entre-Deux, L'Étang-Salé, Saint-Joseph et Le Tampon. L'Étang-Salé left CCSUD in 2003. In 2010, Les Avirons left to join the Communauté intercommunale des Villes solidaires (CIVIS), while Saint-Philippe joined CA Sud.
The flag of CA Sud (photo) is white with the authority's logo.
