About the flag

The new specifications were a part of Decree 26506, issued on 30 April 1957. The ratio at this time wasn’t 1:2 but 500:270 [270:500].
Brendan Hennessy, 18 April 2014

Well, 1957 is slightly odd, in that [before 1957] [kan56] already shows it in 1:2. Was this a long foreseen change? Or a formalisation of what was already done in practice, maybe?
Peter Hans van den Muijzenberg, 18 April 2014
