Serzedo Commune was one of the pre-2013 communes of Vila Nova de Gaia Municipality (q.v.); it had 7891 inhabitants in 2011 and covered 7.6 km².

It is a typical Portuguese communal flag, with the coat of arms centred on a plain blue field.

Coat of arms

Shield Or, in base a mountain issuant Vert superimposed by an impending orb Azure fixed Or and topped by a cross Or, in dexter chief an inescutcheon Azure charged with 13 plates ordered 2.3:2:3:2:1, in sinister chief a camellia Gules seeded Or. Mural crown Argent with three visible towers (village rank) and white scroll with inscription in black initials "PEROSINHO".
Meaning:
The inescutcheon is referring to the kingdom of Portugal, the orb is an attribute of Jesus Christ, as the Divine Saviour being the local patron saint.
