It is a typical Portuguese communal flag, with the coat of arms centred on a plain yellow field.

Coat of arms

Shield divided by ten barrulets alternating Gules and Argent and charged with a rhomb Or charged with: an acorn cross Gules in chief, a wheat sheaf Vert tied Gules in base, and a grapevine Purpure leaved Vert at either flank. Mural crown Argent with three visible towers (village rank) and white scroll reading in black initials: "FREGUESIA DE REGUENGOS DE MONSARAZ".
Meaning:
The name of the commune means: "royal domains of Monsaraz". The cross with acorns is the usual attribute of St. Anthony (Portuguese: Santo António), the local Patron saint. The rhomb might be the shield of a female.
