Shield Vert three holm oak leaves Argent per pale and set in fess,on chief a Marian crown Or gemmed Azure, base Argent wavy semy of wavelets Azure. Mural crown Argent with four visible towers and white scroll reading in black upper case letters "AZINHOSO".
Meaning:
The town's name resembles "azinho", the quintessential name for the holm oak or its acorn, and the three leaves on the arms refer to this - canting heraldry. The remaining charges have trivial meanings.
