It is unclear when the current version of the flag was adopted, but it is known the current version of the emblem was adopted by 2010 based on the government webpage. The current version of the provincial flag is a green field the same as the National Flag, having the provincial emblem in the center. Specifically, it is a variant with a green circle in its center outlined in white, depicting over it a star and crescent for the national religion; underneath, two brown camels appear representing the nomadic desert areas, with three triangles underneath for the desert environment. Underneath the circle is a white ribbon with black details, reading Government of Balochistan in Urdu over it in black.

The Balochistan provincial emblem is a green circle with three white triangles at the bottom for the desert environment; above, two white camels for the nomadic desert land; and above a star and crescent for the national religion. Underneath the circle is a ribbon which reads Government of Balochistan in Urdu, having entirely green details.

The logo on the flag is a yellow disc, which has in its center another circle. To the sides of this smaller circle are two branches of a tree, potentially juniper, with text underneath the circle reading Balochistan (black) in Urdu. Above is a star and crescent in white for the national religion. The center of the circle depicts the Governor's House in Quetta, with waves in front of it for water which is an important resource. Behind this building, the desert mountains of Balochistan are seen, with a wavy shape depicting two camels for the same desert environment.
