Formed in 2007, the Yokkaichi Nursing and Medical Care University is a private university in Yokkaichi, Mie. The main flag used by the university is their logo on a white background. There is a ceremonial flag used by the university; it is a dark red with their logo in the middle. The name of the university is written below in gold horizontally. (Source). According to their university guide (p. 11), the logo is designed as follows: "The motif is the letter "Y", which is the initial letter of Yokkaichi University of Nursing and Medical Care, and the four thick, powerful lines represent the waves of Yokkaichi Port. The shape created by the overlapping of these lines represents the students who are about to grow into the future, likening them to overlapping young leaves. The way the wave shapes intersect and connect also represents the university's basic concept of "looking after, protecting, and connecting.""
