The city emblem was adopted on May 31st 1954 but there is no flag law. The yellow flag has a black city emblem in the center. The city emblem is a stylized katakana イマリ Imari in a form of a flying bird which represents a development of the city. The lower circle and a triangle make a hammer which symbolizes a development of the industry, the inside space does a concord of the citizen.
