he city emblem was adopted on Aug 4th 1936 by Notice No 153 but there is no flag law. The white flag has a maroon city emblem in the center. The city emblem is a stylized katakana アマ Ama of Amagasaki and kanji 工 of  工都 = industrial city. The two circles were added when Oda Village was merged in 1936.
