Description

Local Council Qarne Shomeron (Samaria Horns) named after Jabel Abu-Al-Karnin (in Arabic- Twin Horns Mountain) which is situated east to the settlement and havs kind of two horns. Established in 1977 about 14 kms SW of Nablus in Judea and Samaria District. In 1991, the nearby settlement of Ginot Shomron (est. 1985) was annexed to
it and it became an Local Council. Pop. 6,100 (2003).
