Association of Jewish Ex-Servicemen and Women

[Flag of Association of Jewish Ex-Servicemen and Women] image by Marc Pasquin, 3 January 2016

The Association of Jewish Ex-Servicemen and Women (AJEX) is, as the name imply, an organisation for Jewish veterans.

The flag above was reconstructed based on a number of pictures taken during various ceremonies. One thing that became evident quite quickly is that while the general design is the same for all (save Leeds), there is a wide number of variations in regards to the shade of the stripes, proportion and the exact design of the lion in the logo.

With this in mind, the main difference between most branches is its name written in the lower white band in either dark blue or red. One flag which I assume is considered "the" flag of the organisation had the words "NATIONAL STANDARD" in dark blue on the bottom white band.

BLESMA - The British Limbless Ex-Servicemen's Association

I have asked the organization if they possess a distinctive flag. The Association's coat of arms can be found on their home page. It appears to be heraldic in form - perhaps someone can blazon it for me.

Ex-Services Mental Health Society

This a British organization for individuals who have suffered emotional or psychological problems (not just combat stress or battle fatigue) as a result of their service in the British armed forces. Their logo, in a greatly reduced form, appears on their home page: it appears to be a square edged in blue, in the center of which is a Red Cross, while the insignia of the different British armed services are superimposed upon the Red Cross.

I have today received an e-mail in return from Commodore Toby Elliott, the Chief Executive of the Ex-Services Mental Health Society (Combat Stress) informing me that the association was currently in the process of designing a flag.
