Description of the Flag

The flag is white with a stylized representation of a dragon's head breathing fire, above four red curved bars. Image originally located by Valentin Poposki, 6 January 2012

The National Assembly for Wales (Welsh: Cynulliad Cenedlaethol Cymru); commonly known as the Welsh Assembly or Senedd (Welsh for Senate, but no institution but the building) is the devolved parliament of Wales, having power to make legislation, vary taxes and control the Welsh Government. It was established by the Government of Wales Act 1998, following a referendum in 1997.
The flag is white, showing a stylized Welsh dragon regardant Gules, reduced to its head and wings, filling the whole sheet.
