House flag of Grands Travaux Algériens - Image by Ivan Sache, 30 September 2010
Grands Travaux Algériens seems to have been a public contractor. The company was mentioned in 1922 as commissioned by the Chamber of Commerce of Oran to revamp the port of Nemours (today, Ghazaouet), a port town located near the border with Morocco and once the first fishing port in Algeria.

The Yearbook of the Central Committee of France Shipowners (1922) shows the house flag of Grands Travaux Algériens as quartered red-white with the letters "S", "G", "T", and "A", countercolored, in the respective quarters.
