The municipality of Noyant-Villages (5,589 inhabitants in 2018; 29,945 ha) was established on 15 December 2016 as the merger of the former municipalities of Noyant, Auverse, Breil, Broc, Chalonnes-sous-le-Lude, Chavaignes, Chign´, D´nez´-sous-le-Lude, Genneteil, Lasse, Linières-Bouton, Meign´-le-Vicomte, M´on, and Parçay-les-Pins.
